Fivecoat Replacement Services
Every Fivecoat roof comes with a 30 year warranty
Our crew's combined roofing experience is what sets our replacement service apart. Our teams make a point to arrive early every morning, and to leave job sites cleaner than they were before we arrived.
Step 1: tear off
The replacement process starts with a tear off of the old roof. We’ll typically send a crew of 3-4 men to your home to start the tear off process, along with a large bin for recycling and roof debris. The Fivecoat team works from the top of your roof downward using scaffolding boards to prevent small debris like nails and scraps from landing in your yard. Once the old shingles, flashing, and metal is torn off and sent to recycling, we move onto weatherproofing.
Step 2: Weatherproofing
Next we’ll install a waterproof barrier called Underlayment. Three primary underlayments used are asphalt saturated, synthetic, and rubberized. When your estimator visits to provide an estimated cost for your roof, we will make a recommendation according to your specific roofing needs.
Step 3: Metal & Vents
Roof vents are necessary for attic and interior temperature regulation in your home. As the ventilation helps moderate the temperatures in the attic, this may also help moderate the temperature in the rest of the home. By preventing excess heat buildup, proper ventilation promotes energy efficiency in the home, so your heating costs may be lower.
Step 4: Finishing Material
There are many types of roofing materials to choose from, and a little bit of investigation might lead you to consider a new type of roofing rather than simply replacing the same material you now have. Shingles, Metal, Clay, there are many roofing materials to pick from. Choosing the right roofing material requires that you weigh appearance, longevity, cost, and structural issues. Our estimators will help point you in the right direction when it comes time to choose a roof material.
Step 5: Inspection & Clean up
Every year our lead foremen are required to update their inspection and safety certifications. After each roof is completed, we’ll walk through the job site with you to ensure that your expectations are met and the quality of work is acceptable by your standards. We guarantee that every job we leave will be left better and cleaner than we found it.
